Plants, Chicks, Butterflies, and Bees

Pre-K 3 students have been learning about life cycles in plants and animals. Jim Leether from Victory Garden Apiary came to school to talk to the class about the life of bees and the different roles within the hive. The students loved learning about baby chicks from TSS parent Angela Bowman and enjoyed being able to get up close to them. Last week the class visited Baywater Farms to hear about the life cycle of plants from TSS parent Andy Holloway. In recent weeks, the students have been observing caterpillars in the classroom, watching them transform into butterflies and then releasing them yesterday. What wonderful ways to bring the learning to life for our young Dragons!
