Each year TSS solicits donations from the school community to help sustain and grow the unique environment we all so strongly value here at The Salisbury School.

Gifts to the annual fund have an immediate impact on our students. Combined with tuition, these are the funds that support all you see going on around school on a daily basis. They fund the day to day operation of the school but also allow us to invest in all the things that make a TSS education so special such as multi-faceted arts education, community service programs, Global Awareness Day, continuing education for our faculty, and so much more.

We are fortunate here at TSS to benefit daily and in a very tangible way from the collective energy and ability of our school community. Your financial support is especially valued and appreciated. Please trust that we will steward your donation responsibly and with gratitude.

You can give: (1) ONLINE, (2) print the DONATION FORM then mail or deliver it to the school (address below), or (3) make a gift over the phone by calling the Business Office at 410-742-4464 ext. 115.

Annual Fund FAQs

List of 8 frequently asked questions.

  • Q: Why does The Salisbury School solicit each year for the Annual Fund?

The funds raised in the annual campaign are used during the current fiscal year. Annual fund gifts support all school operations including professional development for faculty, research to enrich the curriculum, field trips, seminars and guest speakers, technology, library acquisitions, and much more.
  • Q: When is the Annual Giving year?

The Salisbury School’s Annual Giving year begins July 1 each year and ends the following June 30.
  • Q: What is an unrestricted gift?

  • Q: What is a restricted gift?

Restricted gifts are donations designated to a specific program or project at The Salisbury School. If you have a special interest in an organization, department or fund at the school, you may designate your donation and gift supports that entity.
  • Q: What is a matching gift?

If your company has a matching gift program, you could double or triple your gifts to the Annual Fund. Many companies will match donations made by employees, retirees, and spouses. Check with your human resources department to see if your company has a matching gift program.  If your gift is matched, you will be recognized for the full value of your gift combined with the company match.
  • Q: How do matching gifts work?

  • Q: Am I recognized for my matching gifts?

Absolutely! If a donor gives $500 to the Annual Fund and his/her company matches that gift with another $500, the donor is recognized for the full $1,000 donation. Please note that for IRS purposes, donors may only deduct their personal contributions.
